Isack Hadjar Crashes New Red Bull Car During Barcelona Pre-Season Test

Red Bull’s pre-season testing at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya hit a sudden setback on Tuesday when 21-year-old French driver Isack Hadjar crashed in wet conditions. The promising recruit, recently promoted from Racing Bulls, lost control at the final corner and spun backwards into the barriers during a session held behind closed doors.
Team principal Laurent Mekies confirmed that Hadjar is safe, and the team is now carefully assessing the damage to the car before deciding on the remaining pre-season schedule. “What is important is that Isack is okay and we’ll try our best to repair the car and see what’s coming next,” Mekies told FIA officials.
The crash came despite Monday’s dry running, which Hadjar described as “pretty productive”, having completed multiple laps in the RB22 chassis. The incident could delay further track time, as Red Bull have used two out of three days allocated for the current shakedown and may not run again until Friday if repairs take time.
The 2026 pre-season is particularly significant as it marks the start of a new engine era under updated technical regulations. Only Red Bull and Ferrari were able to run on Tuesday due to rain, with Max Verstappen testing in the morning and Lewis Hamilton completing about 120 laps despite the challenging wet conditions.
Other teams, including McLaren, postponed their track debut until Wednesday, meaning the final three days of testing in Barcelona will be crucial for all teams to gather data and adapt to the new regulations.
Hadjar’s crash serves as a reminder of the challenges drivers face during pre-season testing, especially with changing weather and new machinery. While it’s a setback, the focus remains on driver safety, car repair, and preparing for the 2026 season, which promises to be one of the most competitive in recent F1 history.

Korean Teen Health Declines as E-Cigarette Use Surpasses Cigarettes Among High School Girls

A long-term study in South Korea has revealed alarming trends in adolescent health, showing that as students progress through school, their health behaviors worsen, and risky habits like smoking and drinking increase. According to the 2025 Youth Health Panel Survey by the Korea Disease Control Agency, high school 2nd-year girls have now recorded a higher use of e-cigarettes than traditional cigarettes for the first time.
The study tracked 5,051 students who started in 6th grade, monitoring their behaviors over seven years. Lifetime cigarette use rose from 0.35% in 6th grade to 9.59% in 2nd-year high school, highlighting a sharp upward trend. Among high school 2nd-year girls, the current use of e-cigarettes (1.54%) overtook regular cigarettes (1.33%), showing that e-cigarettes are being more easily accepted among female teens.
Alcohol consumption also increased sharply, with 60.8% of students having tried even a small sip and 33.7% having consumed at least one drink. The survey found that new alcohol use peaked when students entered middle school, indicating that transitions to new school environments are a high-risk period for substance initiation.
Physical health indicators were also concerning: 33% skipped breakfast at least five days per week, while consumption of fruits, vegetables, and dairy decreased. Only 13.5% engaged in daily physical activity for 60 minutes or more, as higher grades correlated with more study time and less exercise.
Mental health and technology habits raised further red flags: 35.1% reported smartphone overuse, and 8% experienced moderate or severe anxiety, emphasizing the urgent need for mental health interventions.
Peer and family environments significantly influenced behaviors. Teens with smoking or drinking friends, or whose parents condoned these habits, were more likely to adopt similar risky behaviors at an earlier age.
The Korea Disease Control Agency plans to continue monitoring this panel until graduation, providing critical insights into how adolescent habits affect adult health. Officials stressed that coordinated efforts from schools, families, and communities are essential to ensure that youth develop into healthy adults.
This study highlights the urgent need for policies and interventions addressing e-cigarette use, alcohol consumption, poor nutrition, and mental health among teens to protect the next generation’s well-being.

Little Girl Thinks a Pole Can Make Her Invisible

ere’s a tiny child who genuinely believes a skinny pole can hide her from her dad, and watching her logic in action is pure childhood magic.
Her dad, doing the classic parent thing, slowly scans the room with that “I know you’re somewhere” look. As soon as she notices him moving his eyes, she springs into action—but not behind a couch or under a table. Instead, she walks over to a thin pole, presses against it, and slides left and right like it’s an invisible shield. Every few seconds, she peeks around with a serious little spy face, then snaps back behind her “cover,” fully committed to her mission.
This adorable behavior is totally normal—many kids believe, “If I can’t see you, maybe you can’t see me either.” The mix of panic, hope, and confidence makes it utterly charming.
Someone caught this moment on video, and the clip quickly went viral—not because it was staged, but because it’s authentically every kid and parent moment rolled into one adorable scene.
